David Ritchie who died on the 23rd May 2008. He fullfilled his years at school only to be taken away
unfairly. David 17th Birthday was on 19th February this year.
David lived in cleckheaton with his very much beloved mother Elizabeth Ritchie, his twin brother
Darren, brother Joe, sister Marianne and also a beloved brother of Andrew in Scotland and step
father Allan and and also the beloved son of his father Davey.
David was admitted to hospital with measles which turned into pneumonia which lead him to become
reliant upon a life support machine for 3 weeks which very sadly had to be switched off to the
disbelief of his family. He did not deserve this!
David will be dearly missed by all who loved him and I make this tribute to him for his short lived
life of which he shared the love,the humour and most of all his kind nature which was appreciated by
so many of his family and freinds. He was always there for his friends no matter what and took
their burdens upon his shoulder and tried to fulfill a smile within them.
David was an extremely close friend to me and he will be with me every step of the way. We had some
fun times together and I wont forget every minute we had together. I am going to miss his phone
calls each night where he sang to me (even though he was tone deaf!) and most of all, his funny
laugh. He gave me his jacket and I'm glad he did because without his jacket I would be nowhere near
him. I love him millions and I will miss him very very much, he will always be in my heart and my
thoughts each day all day. You were my dearest and very closest friend. I love you David.

shrine of pictures of you and when I go to bed and wake up in a morning, I say goodnight and good
morning to you and I know that you are with me all day every day. You were my soul mate, you really

Hi Dave its Sophies mum. Just to say that when we were celebrating our New Year 2009 we gave you thought. At xmas and New Year you will always be remembered. We all love you so much and miss you dearly. I am taking your mum to Spiritualist Church this Sunday so come n say hello to her n let her know you are ok. I know you are strong enough to come through and this would heal her tremendously to know that she can come to that place of peace and be able to speak and think of you and I know that you will come to her when she needs you as well. I must say that life is still very quiet on MSN without you and Sophie does miss those laughs that you had together and we miss hearing her laugh as well. All I ask is that you give us a thought as we always speak and think of you every day and you will always be a name mentioned in our household.
